Our Open Access program is designed to make colon cancer screening simpler. Healthy adults who do not have significant GI symptoms can schedule a colonoscopy without a preliminary office visit, which saves a trip and gets your screening on the calendar sooner.
Instead of meeting first, you complete a short health questionnaire. One of our physicians reviews your answers to confirm that Open Access is appropriate for you. If it is, we schedule your procedure and walk you through the prep. If we think you would be better served by an office visit first, we will tell you.
Who is a good candidate
Open Access is intended for generally healthy adults who are due for routine colon cancer screening and do not have active digestive symptoms such as significant abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, or major changes in bowel habits. If you have symptoms or a complex medical history, an office visit first is usually the safer path, and we are glad to arrange one.
Why screening matters
A colonoscopy is the most effective way to find colon cancer early and to prevent it by removing polyps. About 80 percent of people with colon cancer have no symptoms at first, which is exactly why screening saves lives. Learn more about colon cancer screening.

- We review and schedule. A physician reviews your answers, and our team calls you to schedule your procedure and go over prep.
